.: Melody Cowl :.
Finally, my latest design is now available on Ravelry. I’m thrilled and proud to have my work featured in the Duality Collection.

The Melody Cowl
is a design that beautifully embodies the spirit of Malabrigo's Dos Tierras yarn - a harmonious blend of Uruguayan merino wool and Peruvian baby alpaca that celebrates the connection between two cultures and their rich textile traditions. Part of the Duality Collection, this piece highlights the delicate balance of these natural fibers, with the Pascal and Rosalinda shades chosen to add an elegant, understated charm to the design.
More than just a source of warmth, this shawl represents the perfect fusion of functionality and modern aesthetics. Its seamless, flowing construction invites knitters to savor every stitch of this organic and intuitive project. With a versatile design that effortlessly complements any outfit, the Melody Cowl combines style, texture, and comfort to inspire creativity while celebrating the time spent creating with your hands
The inspiration behind the design comes from my fascination with lines, shadows, and the way light creates different patterns on simple objects or structures. Geometry can be precise, yet the right light can transform it, adding movement and depth. The concept of light and shadow using a single color feels like freezing a moment in time, capturing its essence while leaving space for fluidity and interpretation😍

The Melody Cowl
is knitted top-down in a seamless, one-piece, round construction. It’s an infinity cowl with two wraps that are easily customizable to suit your style. The pattern is created using slipped and purl stitches, working with one color at a time, round by round, to achieve a distinctive repeat. While it resembles brioche, it is a different technique that is easier to execute.
This versatile accessory pairs beautifully with outdoor attire, such as a coat, or can be styled indoors for a casual, relaxed look. Its loose and comfortable fit makes it the perfect companion for chilly evenings when you need something soft and warm around your neck.
